Calling Western Balkans journalists: Apply for a fully funded AI workshop in Podgorica

Thomson Media invites young and mid-career journalists to explore the practical use of AI in journalism at a hands-on workshopp.

Thomson Media has announced an open call for young and mid-career journalists from the Western Balkans to participate in an exclusive onsite workshop focused on the practical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in journalism.

The two-day workshop will take place on 17–18 May 2025 in Podgorica, Montenegro, with all travel and accommodation expenses will be fully covered by the organiser, Thomson Media.

The workshop is part of the EU-funded Strengthening Quality News and Independent Journalism project and aims to help journalists harness AI tools to enhance their daily work, make editorial decisions more efficiently, and uphold ethical standards in the age of digital reporting.

Eligible applicants must be early or mid-career journalists from the Western Balkans and are required to submit a CV, a one-page motivation letter, and certificates of completion for at least two Thomson Media e-learning courses.
